Perinatal counselor

I started this training at the organization Draag Kracht to obtain a broader theoretical framework and practical tools to recognize and guide normal psychological phenomena. In addition, to be able to check the risk factors and detect disorders. To provide first psychological help in the perinatal period according to various themes such as attachment, experience of partners, grief .... .

2016

Midwife

In 2016 I graduated as a midwife at Vives in Kortrijk. I did an internship in the maternity ward of the Sint-Pieters hospital in Brussels, the European Hospital in Uccle and at various maternity units. The psychological aspect was my driving force during the various internships

2002-2005

Master Medical Social Sciences 

In 2005, I obtained a master's degree in medical social sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. During this training, I conducted qualitative research in South Africa, entitled 'Death of parents through the eyes of orphans and their caregivers'
This was an exploratory qualitative study of AIDS orphans in the “Samaritan Centre”, Limpopo South Africa

1999-2002

Psychological consultation

In 2002 I obtained my degree from Lessius in Antwerp. I chose to major in clinical psychology with the final dissertation: “Why? Therefore. Situating the why question in language development and in the theories of Chomsky, Vygotsky and Piaget.”

Primary midwife

I wanted to help and support people, that's why I started in February 2019 as an independent midwife in primary care within midwifery practice InTeam. Pre- and postnatal care for every mother and couples!  Listening, providing information and providing medical care are the key words during these moments.

Pedagogical supporter and psychologist:  childcare City of Brussels

In this position I am responsible for the pedagogical implementation within childcare. In addition, well-being from zero to three years is important, based on observations I answer the questions and difficulties of parents and childcare workers.

Responsible for the daily management of a childcare location for children from zero to three years old.  Defining the pedagogical policy, team management, accounting, nutrition and hygiene. A sneak peek into the daily ins and outs of childcare.
